Instructions for performing donations for BN.
Aiming to enrich and value its heritage, the Brazilian National Library (BN) receives donations from individuals as well as from legal entities.
To initiate the process, the interested party has to fill in the donation form, and send it with personal data, description and images of the material to be donated. The offered bibliographical pieces (books, journals, musical partitions etc.) are previously evaluated by National Library’s specialists.
In case of interest in the offered collection by the institution, the giver has to sign a standardized term of donation as a condition for the process conclusion.
