Adriana Gonçalves, Joyce Lacôrte, Leticia Provenzano and Valeria Werneck have been working in the Rare Books Division of Biblioteca Nacional (BN) for ten months only, but have established a special relationship with the rare books in this collection. Their work entitled 'Exploring Rare Books Collection at the Brazilian National Library Foundation' was approved by the Scientific Committee for presentation at the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section, an event held by the Association of College and Research Libraries, which is a division of the American Library Association.

The team - which no longer counts on Leticia, now a librarian at Casa de Rui Barbosa - will be represented by Valeria Werneck at RDBMS, to be held in Coral Gables, Florida (USA), from June 21st through June 24th.

The work to be presented at the conference addresses the importance of technical visits, thematic exhibitions and the National Library Research Program to attract new users and publicize the collection, especially the Rare Book's.
