The National Library released the list o f eligible applications for the first evaluation round of the 2018-2020 period.
At this stage, 54 projects from 28 countries were considered eligible. The list also indicates the projects that were considered ineligible and the reason for their refusal.
The Support Program for the Translation and Publication of Brazilian Authors, created by the Brazilian National Library Foundation (FBN), under the Brazilian Ministry of Culture, aims to spread Brazilian culture and literature abroad by granting financial support for translation and publication of works by Brazilian authors.
The Program is designed for foreign publishers that wish to translate into any language, publish, and distribute abroad works by Brazilian authors, in book or digital form, that have been previously published in Portuguese in Brazil.
